The modern frame made of lightweight, high-strength steel profiles is based on the frame of the TC 50 and was adapted to host the electric drive train and battery. It is robot welded and guarantees easy handling and precise cornering, but also outstanding stability.

The lightweight and rigid subframe is made of extruded polyamide reinforced by fiberglass. Another innovative feature of the EE 5 is that it has 2 mounting positions on the frame, allowing for 25 mm of seat height adjustability.

The EE 5 is fitted with a newly developed lightweight cast aluminum swingarm. Conceived using the latest calculation and simulation software, the design and wall thickness have been made for minimum weight at optimum stiffness and precisely defined flexibility. In addition, it features a robust 2-compound chain guide similar to the full-size models.

The state-of-the-art WP XACT 35 fork with 35 mm inner tube diameter and 205 mm of travel ensures outstanding comfort, damping characteristics and stability in combination with newly designed triple clamps. The main benefit of this fork is that the air spring fitted in the left fork leg can be adjusted perfectly to the rider’s weight with just a simple air fork pump.

A rear-mounted WP XACT monoshock linked directly to the swingarm provides excellent damping performance and is fully adjustable in order set the damping perfectly to rider’s preferences and track conditions. The rear wheel travel is 185 mm.

A new tapered NEKEN handlebar made of high-qualityaluminum alloy shrinks from 28 mm in the center to 22 mm in the bends and to 18 mm at the grips. A thinner lock
-on ODI grip can be mounted on the left side while a newly developed e-gas assembly with a volcanized ODI grip is mounted on the right side. The thinner diameter is a major benefit, allowing young riders to better grasp the grips, increasing control and drastically reducing fatigue.

The bike is fitted with a roll-over sensor to cut the power in case of a fall. A wrist lanyard key (connection between wrist and kill switch) also stops the motor and secures the bike from unauthorized use. The modes can be locked with a key located below the seat to prevent any change to the power without permission.

The permanent magnet motor features an extremely compact and slim design that is well suited to the smaller chassis. It produces a peak power of 5 kW. It is air-cooled and, due to its dust and waterproof design, is wear- and maintenance-free. The integrated control unit (ECU) guarantees a strong, but very controllable power delivery.

The external worldwide charger supplying up to 900 W can be connected to any 110 Volt socket and can be easily plugged to the battery. The charger has a 2 year warranty. Charging time is 45 minutes to 80% charge and 70 minutes to 100%.

The battery is fitted with 84 lithium ion cells in a robust die-cast aluminum casing fixed above the motor. The stored energy is 907 Wh, enough for more than two hours of riding for a beginner, 25 min. for the fastest racers. The integrated battery management system (BMS) ensures the longevity of the power pack. The battery has a 2 year warranty.

With the multifunctional display located between the steering head and seat, the user can select 6 different ride modes with different motor characteristics suited for pure beginners to experienced racers. In addition, the display shows the remaining charge of the battery.

The seat height can be lowered 25 mm by simply raising the fork tubes in the triple clamps and by installing the rear shock in a secondary eyelet on the frame. This provides a quick and easy way to make beginner riders more comfortable on the bike.

The suspension lowering kit is available in the Husqvarna Motorcycles Accessories line and reduces the seat height by 50 mm. The kit includes an internal spacer for the shock (reducing travel by 20 mm) and new rods and adjuster tubes for the forks (reducing travel by 80 mm).

The graph shows the six power modes and the corresponding peak torque and the RPMs the motor reaches. Peak power is 5 kW at 3,900 RPM and 13.8 Nm of torque from 0 RPM. With each mode adjusting peak torque, speed and throttle response, it’s easy to find the perfect ride character for any ability level.

Optional handlebar mounts are available in the Husqvarna Motorcycles Accessories line and come in four different bar heights (-5, +5, +10 or +15mm). The mounts can also be installed in two mount positions on the top triple clamp, further refining the feel of the bars.
